Global Base Oils Cargo Flows: Week To 10 April

  • South Korean cargoes converge on the US Gulf coast, with two large shipments due in the coming two weeks

  • Last pre-disruption Middle East cargoes continue to feed through, including a Bahrain cargo bound for the US Gulf coast

  • US exports moved to multiple destinations, with cargoes to Southeast Asia, India, Morocco and Nigeria

Asia

·         Several Group II cargoes loaded from Taiwan over the past week, mostly bound for India, with delivery in second-half April.

·         Taiwan’s cargo-loadings remained relatively steady through first-half April, in line with the same period in March.

·         Singapore’s base oils exports over the past week fell to the second lowest level in more than a year, following an even steeper weekly drop at end-March.

·         A large cargo loaded from South Korea in early March before heading to the US Gulf coast, set to arrive in the coming days.

·         A large cargo loaded from South Korea around mid-March before heading to the US Gulf coast, set to arrive within two weeks.

·         A cargo loaded from South Korea in first-half March before heading to Saudi Arabia, set to arrive in the coming days.

·         A cargo of Group III base oils loaded from Indonesia in first-half March before heading to northwest Europe, set to arrive in the coming days.

Middle East

·         A cargo loaded from Saudi Arabia at end-March before heading to northwest Europe, set to arrive in the coming week.

·         A large cargo is expected to load from Saudi Arabia in the coming days, with the cargo size pointing to India as the likely destination.

·         A cargo of Group III base oils loaded from Bahrain in second-half February before heading to the US Gulf coast, set to arrive in the coming days.

Europe

·         Enquiry for  a cargo to load from Turkey in first-half April, before heading to Spain.

Americas

·         A cargo loaded from the US in early April before heading to Southeast Asia, set to arrive in late May.

·         A cargo loaded from the US in early April before heading to Morocco, set to arrive in second-half April.

·         A cargo loaded from the US in late March before heading to India, set to arrive in early May.

·         A cargo loaded from the US in late March before heading to Nigeria, set to arrive in the coming days.
