Global Base Oils Cargo Flows: Week To 12 June

  • A rare cargo from India arrived in Singapore, the first such shipment in at least nine years

  • South Korea loaded another cargo for the US Gulf Coast, with a second US-bound shipment set to arrive in the coming days

  • Group III flows into Northwest Europe continued from Indonesia and Spain, while Taiwan's Group II shipments remained below April and May levels

Asia

·         Cargo with combination of Group II light and heavy grades loaded from Taiwan in early June before heading to India, set to arrive in second-half June.

·         Group II shipment volumes from Taiwan so far in June remained well below levels during the same period in April and May.

·         Singapore took delivery of a rare cargo from India in the past week, the first such shipment from that country in at least nine years.

·         Singapore took delivery of supplies from Saudi Arabia for a second week, adding to a pick-up in flows from that market over the past month.

·         Singapore took delivery of a cargo from the Netherlands, the first shipment from that market in around a month.

·         Cargo loaded from South Korea in the past week before heading to US Gulf coast, set to arrive around mid-July.

·         Cargo loaded from South Korea in first-half May before heading to US Gulf coast, set to arrive in the coming days.

·         Cargo loaded from South Korea in late-May before heading to Turkey, set to arrive in early July.

·         Cargo of Group III base oils loaded from Indonesia in late-April before heading to Northwest Europe, arrived in recent days.

Middle East/Europe

·         Large cargo loaded from Saudi Arabia in early June before heading to India, set to arrive in the coming days.

·         Cargo loaded from Saudi Arabia around mid-May before heading to Northwest Europe, arrived in recent days.

·         Cargo of premium-grade base oils loaded from Spain in the past week before heading to Northwest Europe, set to arrive in the coming days.

·         Cargo loaded from Northwest Europe around mid-May before heading to South Africa, set to arrive in the coming week.

Americas

·         Cargo of Group II base oils loaded from US Gulf coast in early June before heading to India, set to arrive in second-half July.
