Singapore’s base oils exports fell over the past week as a sustained slowdown in shipments to India countered a rise in flows to Indonesia and China.Total base oils exports came around 37,000t in the week to November 22, government data showed.The volume fell from close to 48,000t the previous week but was similar to average weekly levels of around 39,000t so far this year.Exports fell because of an ongoing dip in shipments to India.Total exports of around 12,000t to the country over the last four weeks were down from average monthly volumes of around 26,000t so far this year.The slowdown contrasted with steadier exports to China in recent weeks.Exports of more than 32,000t to the country over the past four weeks were up from 30,000 t/month so far in second-half 2023.Singapore’s base oils exports to Indonesia also remained high.Singapore’s base oils imports showed signs of slowing.There were no imports from Japan over the past four weeks.Imports from China rose over the past week.
