Pakistan’s lube demand rose for a third month in September, adding to signs of improving economic activity.Lube consumption of close to 12,200t in September rose by 4pc from year-earlier levels, according to Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC).Consumption of 35,800t in the third quarter rose from 33,800t during the previous three months and from less than 32,000t during the same period a year earlier.The rise in lube demand coincided with signs of a pick-up in the country's manufacturing activity, as well as firm agricultural activity that helped support a surge in tractor sales.Rising tractor sales in turn supported a rise in Pakistan’s automobile sales in September.
