South Korea’s base oils exports to China rose in April amid signs of a gradual improvement in the country’s base oils demand.Exports of 74,100t to China in April rose from 62,230t the previous month and from typical volumes of less than 54,000 t/month over the past year, government data showed.Exports of 284,210t in the first four months of the year were up 2pc from 277,360t during the same period last year.Exports barely exceeded year-earlier levels despite the end of Covid-19 lockdown measures in China since late last year.
