China’s base oils output rose to a nineteen-month high in October as Group I and Group III base oils production climbed to multi-year highs.Total base oils output of more than 390,000t in October rose from less than 380,000t the previous month, OilChem China data showed.The volume rose by 23pc from year-earlier levels to the highest since March 2022.Output rose as a sustained surge in Group III base oils production outweighed a drop in output of Group II base oils.Group III base oils output rose from less than 5,000t in July to more than 32,000t in October.The rise in output partly reflected the impact of additional supply following the start-up of a new Group III base oils unit in August.
