Spain’s base oils supply fell to a four-month low in April amid a slowdown in availability of both Group I and premium-grade base oils.
Total supply of 74,500t in April fell from more than 102,000t the previous month to the lowest this year, government and port data showed.
Supplies of premium-grade base oils fell ahead of scheduled maintenance work on a Group III base oils plant in May.
Output of Group I base oils fell to less than 22,500t in April, from more than 28,000t the previous month. The volume was the lowest in five months.
Group I base oils output fell even as Spain’s total oil products output rose in April to a three-month high. Diesel output as a share of the total rose close to a two-year high.
