The Netherlands’ base oils and lube consumption held firm in August even amid a seasonal slowdown in exports.Total base oils and lube demand, or domestic consumption and exports combined, came to 274,000t in August, government data showed.The volume edged up from less than 270,000t the previous month.Consumption fell by 5pc and for a seventh month from year-earlier levels.
