
Base oils shipments from the Saudi Arabian ports of Yanbu and Jeddah rebounded in August from the previous month, sustaining higher-than-usual volumes over the last three months.
Total shipments from Yanbu and Jeddah combined came to more than 80,000t in August, shipping data showed.
The volume rose from less than 30,000t in July but was similar to shipments of around 80,000t in June.
Average monthly shipment volumes of more than 62,000t over the last three months was up from less than 53,000 t/month in the first five months of the year.
A larger-than-usual share of the August volumes moved to India and the Mideast Gulf.
There were signs of a pick-up in shipments to other markets in September.
