The delivery of base oils from Group III plants in the Mideast Gulf to key global outlets rose to an eight-month high in May on the back of a pick-up in shipments from all the refineries.The key outlets of US, Europe and Asia-Pacific took delivery of more than 326,000t from the Mideast Gulf in May, government and customs data showed.The volume was up from around 227,000t in March and April and from less than 150,000t in February.The surge in supplies boosted shipments to Europe and Asia-Pacific especially.Europe took delivery of more than 70,000t from the Mideast Gulf in May, up from typical levels of less than 50,000 t/month over the past year.Asia took delivery of more than 178,000t in May, versus typical levels of around 90,000 t/month over the past year.The US took delivery of around 78,000t in May.
