SK Enmove Americas (SK Enmove) was the US’ largest base oils importer in July for a second month as a surge in its supplies from Spain countered a slump in shipments from South Korea.SK Enmove accounted for around 26pc of total US imports in July, according to the EIA.The share was up from less than 20pc the previous month and the highest since February.Its imports got a boost from a surge in supplies from Spain to a record-high in July.The shipments balanced out a fall in supplies from South Korea to an eight-month low.US base oils imports of 1.36mn bl (192,000t) in July edged up from 1.35mn bl the previous month, according to the EIA.Pennzoil-Quaker State was the US’ second-largest base oils importer with a share of around 22pc of the total.
