Shell Company of Thailand was Thailand’s largest lubricants supplier in July for a second month as it boosted its market share of heavy-duty engine oils (HDEO) and industrial oils.Its share of Thailand’s lube sales in July rose to more than 37pc of the total volume, government data showed. But the size of the increase was smaller.Its relatively steady share of lube sales meant PTT and Shell’s combined market share rose to more than 64pc of total sales. The two companies typically accounted for around 58pc of total sales in the first half of this year.Their rising share was at the expense of distributors and blenders that already had a much smaller market share.PSP Specialties remained Thailand’s third-largest lube supplier in July. Its market share fell to less than 13.5pc of the total, from more than 15pc in June.Domestic refiner Bangchak remained the fourth-largest supplier.
