Thai refiner IRPC’s base oils output fell to a three-month low in May even in the face of increasingly strong Group I base oils margins in the Asia-Pacific region.

The lower output triggered a drop in supplies to domestic and overseas markets.

The unit’s base oils output of 28,100 kilolitres (24,890t) in May fell from more than 31,300kl the previous month, government data showed.

IRPC’s base oils exports of 19,370kl in May fell from almost 22,880kl the previous month.

Its exports to Singapore held steady even with the drop in total shipments.
