Thai refiner IRPC’s base oils output rose in March amid strong domestic demand and firm base oils margins.
Output of 31,400 kilolitres (27,810t) in March rose from a three-month low of 25,420kl in February, government data showed.
The volume was up from more typical levels of closer to 25,500 kl/month over the past year.
The pick-up in base oils output helped to meet a seasonal rise in domestic demand in March as lube blenders boosted output ahead of the Songkran water festival in April.
