Thailand’s base oils output edged down in April, lagging the steeper drop in domestic demand for the lubricant feedstock.Total output of 56,330 kilolitres (49,900t) in April fell from 59,990kl the previous month, government data showed.Output of 227,160kl in the first four months of the year was down less than 2pc from 230,900kl during the same period last year.The drop in April output lagged the 39pc fall in Thailand’s domestic base oils consumption to 10,510kl from the previous month.Domestic demand fell from typical levels of more than 12,600 kl/month over the past year and from more than 16,000kl in April 2022..IRPC’s April base oils output steady, exports rise.Contact us for more information about the data for these stories
