Taiwan’s March base oils exports rise

Taiwan’s base oils exports rose to a four-year high in March, adding to signs of healthy availability in the Asia-Pacific region.

Exports got a boost from the shipment of some cargoes that were delayed from February.

Total shipments of 66,440t in March more than doubled from 32,810t the previous month, government data showed.

The volume was the highest since March 2019.

Light-grade base oils accounted for most of the supplies in March. Heavy grades had accounted for more of the February-loading supplies.

Exports showed signs of slowing in the first two weeks of April.
