Indonesia’s Group III base oils exports fell in March to their lowest in more than two years, ahead of planned Group III maintenance work in South Korea and Europe in the second quarter of the year.

Base oils exports of 5,020t in March fell from 21,000t the previous month to the lowest since end-2020, government data showed.

The slump in exports extended a period of unusually low Group III base oils shipments from Indonesia since the start of the second half of last year.

There were no shipments to the Netherlands in March for the second time in four months.
