Saudi Aramco has acquired fuel and lubricants distributor Primax, Peruvian media outlet Gestion reported.

Primax operates 2,185 fuel stations in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador and says it has the second-largest network of stations in Latin America.

The move to acquire Primax would follow Aramco’s announcement last month of its acquisition of a 25% stake in Unioil Petroleum Philippines.

The Unioil acquisition was part of its global strategy to extend its brand, retail offerings and Valvoline-branded lubricants to select retail stations in the Philippines.
