US base oils demand was mixed in April as domestic consumption rose while exports fell.Domestic base oils and lube consumption of 2.52mn bl (354,650t) in April rose from 1.77mn bl the previous month, government data showed.It was still unusually low and down 32pc from year-earlier levels.US base oils and lube exports fell in April but remained higher than usual.Exports of 3.17mn bl in April fell from a record-high 4.10mn bl the previous month.The trend left exports exceeding domestic demand for a second month.
