Pakistan’s lube demand fell for a fourth month in June amid a sustained slump in manufacturing activity and sliding automobile sales and production.Total lube consumption of 10,790t in June fell from 13,050t in May and by 28pc from year-earlier levels.The slowdown cut lube demand to 71,050t in first-half 2022, down from 82,700t during the same period a year earlier.Falling lube demand mirrored a slump in the country’s automobile sales in each of the past twelve months.The size of the contraction in auto sales deepened to more than 40pc in the four months to June.
