Turkey’s Group I base oils imports rose for a fourth month in October amid a pick-up in supplies from Greece and Italy.Total Group I imports of 25,200t in October rose by 20pc from year-earlier levels, government data showed.Total imports of 288,000t in the first ten months of the year were also up 20pc from 241,000t during the same period last year.The rise in shipments outpaced the 5pc rise in Turkey’s imports of premium-grade base oils in the first ten months of the year.Turkey’s domestic base oils production also rose at a faster pace than its premium-grade base oils imports in the first nine months of the year.Imports rose in October on the back of a pick-up in shipments from Italy and Greece to a four-month high.The rise in supplies from those markets contrasted with a drop in imports from Russia to a six-month low.Shipments from Italy and Greece also increased their share of Turkey’s Group I base oils imports in the first ten months of the year..Turkey’s Sept Group I imports rise
