Global base oils exports to Kenya stayed relatively low in December amid a sustained slowdown in shipments from Europe.The drop in supplies contrasted with steady shipments from Europe to other African markets like Nigeria and South Africa.The slowdown in shipments in turn boosted the attraction for buyers in Kenya to target more supplies from markets that were logistically closer to the country, such as Mideast Gulf and India.Base oils exports to Kenya from Europe, US and Asia-Pacific combined recovered to around 7,900t in December, government and shipping data showed.The volume rose from a fifteen-month low of less than 2,000t the previous month.Exports still fell for the third time in four months from year-earlier levels.
