South Korea’s base oils exports to southeast Asia fell to a nine-month low in September amid a dip in shipments to Indonesia and Vietnam.Total exports of 68,000t to the region fell from 72,500t the previous month, government data showed.Exports fell for the second time in three months from year-earlier levels, cutting total shipments to 686,500t in the first nine months of the year.The volume was down slightly from a record-high of almost 694,000t during the same period last year.Exports fell because of a sustained slowdown in shipments to Indonesia.Shipments of 82,000t in the first nine months of the year were down 25pc from more than 108,000t during the same period last year.Exports to the Philippines by contrast extended their rise in September, lifting total shipments to 51,000t in the first nine months of the year.The volume was up more than 80pc from 28,000t during the same period last year..S Korea’s Sept base oils exports rise
